The Journey to Poland!

I left on a Lufthansa plane from JFK today headed for Krakow with one stop in Munich, Germany. Everything on the plane was in German and the flight attendants kept speaking German to me. I guess I looked like I knew the language. On the way to Munich, I sat next to a guy from Brooklyn who was going to Katowice, Poland to see his girlfriend. He was pretty nice, but he didn't know too much about Krakow since he hadn't visited Poland very often. The plane was pretty nice with screens for each seat in the head rests. I was able to watch two movies because I wasn't able to fall asleep. We got a hot meal of chicken, rice, and green peas. Then they gave us a breakfast of a roll and fruit as the sun came up. Since we were flying east, I had a very short time in the night time darkness.
The stop over in Munich, Germany was only supposed to be 3 hours, but the flight go canceled since the plane that was supposed to be coming from Krakow got rerouted to Warsaw since there had been some bad weather. Luckily, I made friends with a Polish girl who knew what she was doing. She let me come with her to customer service to reschedule our flights for the 3:00 pm flight. She also made sure that the 3:00 pm flight wouldn't get canceled by checking everything out on-line. Good thing the plane we are using is coming from Budapest where there are no weather problems. I was also able to call the man who's picking me up from the airport from her computer using skype. We each got 10 euro vouchers to eat in the airport and ended up talking about what life is like in Poland. Before I get on to the Munich to Krakow plane, I will have been awake nearly 24 hours. I'm really tired, but I going to try and stay awake about 9 more hours and go to bed at midnight so that I can just skip the jet lag feeling.
