The Nightlife of Krakow

After the newest girl arrived, we all went out to eat again. This time we went to another restuarant called Gospoda Ko Ko (it has to do with chickens). There I accidently ordered a really big meal, but it only cost 15 zloty (about $5). I got a red borszcz soup, followed by a fried chicken cutlet with fries. It also came with  side salads of white cabbage, sour cabbage and pickles. Everyone else was smarter and just got some variety of pierogi. For dessert, we went to a very nice restuarant call Bunkier (Bunker). Once again I was fooled by how much they give you at restuarants here because I ordered a tea and they gave me a teapot that had about 4 cups of tea in it. The graduate student who is hosting us got a Zywiec beer and added rose syrup to it to make it sweeter. I found out that it is very common here to add syrups to your beer like berry, banana, and rarely rose.
Then it was time to hit the bars and nightlife. The girls I was with wanted to go out to dance, so they were a little disappointed at first by how small the dance floors were. After going to a communist themed pub, we finally settled at a hip-hop themed bar called Respect. There we danced and got a beer. After a while, we decided to keep touring the night life so we went to a club called Klub Obcesyja (Club Obcession). There they played house music, but surprisingly no one danced like they do on Jersey Shore. Now I have to learn how to dance to house music with all the arm tricks and classic house music moves. Unfortunately, they had vents on the dance floor that blew all the cigarette smoke right into my eyes, which made them water. We left and ended the night by touring a few more pubs and clubs until we took the late-night bus back to the dorms.
